On this page are tips and service updates that you may find useful after moving into your room.

Where to get food and drink

In person: All the outlets on campus can be found here

Delivery or click and collect: You may find it convenient to order food via our Uni Food Hub App. You can use the app for ordering and delivery across campus or order from our digital kiosks in The Junction and Costa 1966 for delivery to your table or for collection. To download the app, just search for Uni Food Hub in your app store or scan the QR code which can be found here.

Where to shop for groceries, stationery, travel cards, and other essentials

In-person: visit Costcutter on the ground floor of the Hamilton Building and the Student Store in the Isambard Amenity Building for great value deals on student essentials, grocery items, and a wide range of other products. The Union Shop next door to Costcutter also offers Brunel branded merchandise such as hoodies and tees, as well as gifts and stationery. See shop opening times.

Online shopping: You can order items online for free delivery to your campus room through the Snappy Shopper website. You can also download the Snappy Shopper app from the app store | google play, enter the post code: UB8 3PH then select our Costcutter store to start shopping.

Where your parents, carers and other companions can stay

There is a hotel on our Uxbridge campus where those accompanying you on your move to campus may stay.  Our Lancaster Hotel and Spa | Brunel University London is open for bookings with great rates for your family and loved ones.

What to do until teaching starts

There are different kinds of events planned for your Welcome period which starts 12 Sept and ends when teaching begins on 4 October. Some events are part of your formal induction, some are being planned by your hall to help you meet your neighbours, and others are social in nature and being organised by your Student Union. Check them all out here and don't forget to download the Welcome app.

If you're confused, lonely or finding it a challenge to adjust

The Student Centre has a team of advisers waiting to help you with practical concerns and any other challenges. They can also refer you if you need further help.

In-person: The Student Centre is located on the ground floor of the Howell Building.

On the phone: Call the Student Centre on +44 (0) 1895 268268

Online: Email student.centre@brunel.ac.uk

Join a club or get involved in a society

There are loads of clubs and societies to get involved in. You'll get to meet them at the Welcome Fair on 28 September but if you wish to check out your options, see the selection here.
