Summary

As Director of Employability in the Business School I am responsible for developing the School's Employability Strategy, coordinating employability initiatives across the School and together with colleagues in the university's Professional Development Centre, supporting students on work placement.  I am module leader of the undergraduate and post graduate placement programmes and am respnsiblle for placement visits and the assessment of placement reports.  I also work with a range of employers from SMEs to MNCs to generate work opportunities for students and promote digital skills and courses to help students develop extra-curricular skills that will faciliate graduate employment.  

I chair the School's Employability Committee, responsible for developing the School's Employability Strategy and overseeing its implementation.  I am also a member of the Department Management Board where I report on employability events and activities that take place in the School.

I hold a Master degree in Marketing and a CIPD level 5 diploma.  I previously managed the centralised Placement Team at Brunel and have experience in other universities and the public and private sectors.  I was chair of the natiional Work Based Learning Task Group of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) for eight years before joining the Business School.
