What is the Graduate Outcomes survey?

The Graduate Outcomes survey is a national survey capturing information about the activities and perspectives of graduates 15 months after they finish their studies. All graduates who completed a course will be asked to take part in the survey, in order to help current and future students gain an insight into career destinations and development. Your responses will also help your university or college to evaluate and promote their courses.

The survey is also of national significance as it allows policy makers, charities, journalists, researchers and others to understand the higher education sector and the state of the graduate labour market.

The survey is owned by HESA, the Higher Education Statistics Agency, who have published more information for students as well as guidance on how your contact details will be used.  Brunel University London may add some additional questions to the Graduate Outcomes survey relevant to your experience at the university.

What do I need to do?

To support the survey, we are required to hold accurate contact details for you, including a personal email address, at least one telephone number, and a postal address (this can be a parental/guardian address).

We would be very grateful if you would join our alumni network where you can connect and engage with other professionals and we can keep you informed of the graduate outcomes survey and when you may be contacted https://brunelalumni.com/

How will my answers be used?

Your responses may be used by Brunel University London to provide statistical summaries for academics, current students and others who may be interested in what Brunel students do after leaving the university.   The summaries do not include student names and we are careful to compile the information in such a way that an individual cannot be recognised.  General information about what Brunel graduates do is also used in our prospectus and other marketing materials.
