How to collect your keys and move in

How can I collect my room keys?

When you arrive on campus, you can go straight to your hall to collect your room keys. You will meet a member of the Residences team who will confirm your arrival, issue your keys and provide you with all the information you need about living on campus.

Once your accommodation booking has been confirmed please ensure you check the name of your hall and full room address so you arrive within the correct time slot.

Your arrival slot will be for a maximum of two hours. If you are unable to arrive within the times available or are running late, please contact res@brunel.ac.uk.

What should I do before I arrive onto campus?

You must complete your online registration before you collect your room keys, you do this here.

If you are not registered you will be unable to collect your room key.

Where can I park?

You can park on campus in one of our zones, depending on your allocated hall. Check our campus map to find your zone.

Brunel is easily accessible by car, bus or train. You can find out more here.

Can my family and friends help me move in?

You can bring your family and friends onto campus for your arrival slot, however only two members are able to help you move your belongings into your room. This is so we can limit the number of people in our hall buildings.

How will I be able to move in safely?

In order to comply with government advice by managing social distancing in corridors, stairways and lifts, hand sanitisation units are available at each main entrance.

A maximum of two people will be allowed to accompany you. Please be aware, where buildings have a lift, only one person will be permitted to use the lift at any time. Where buildings do not have lifts, please observe the guidance of walking on the left, limiting the touching of handrails and maintain social distancing where possible.

I am an international student and cannot make the arrival slot

If you have a flight booked for a different date or time to your hall's arrival slot please email res@brunel.ac.uk at least 48 hours before you arrive so arrangements can be made.

We have plenty of activities to help you settle into your your new home and get to know your flatmates. You'll be introduced to your Residences Ambassadors (RAs) once you arrive, they are all current students who have lived in halls before. They'll be hosting a quizzes and other virtual activities to help you settle in over the first few days.
