Accreditations and exemptions

Accredited courses offer reassurance that your course content has been reviewed by official professional bodies making it relevant and useful for today's workplace.

Accreditation also means that you will be exempt from studying some modules or taking particular exams to gain qualifications which certify you as a professional in your chosen field. Accounting and Business Management BSc students can get up to 9 exemptions. That is the maximum available exemptions from ACCA. Accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and exemption from:

Accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and exemption from the following papers:

Students will get exemptions from certificate level and operational level modules i.e. students will start at the CIMA’s Management Level modules.

Accreditation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and students can get up to 7 exemption from the ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification.  Exemptions from the following ICAEW papers are conditional on a pass of 50% or higher. For Business, Technology and finance module Upper Second or first degree award or 50% is required in all of the modules listed in the bracket.
